Our neighborhood has a cat problem. As I'm sure many do. There are a LOT of kitties running around, and no one owns them. No one takes care of them (well, I'm sure they get fed somewhere, or they wouldn't still be running around) and certainly no one spays or neuters them. So every summer, more litters of kittens are born that no one takes care of, feeds, or any of the other things you are supposed to do as a pet owner.
So, this year we decided to adopt three of them. A very young mama has been living under a deck with her two kittens. We decided that we could afford to feed, spay, neuter and take care of these three. While it's not much, it's at least three kittens who won't be having a few more litters this year.
We named them Jezabel, Gus and Plinko. We have no idea if they are male or female (well, except for the mama cat!) so, if Gus is a female...SORRY GUS! They are not tame (YET) but we're working on it. (Anyone have any tips on cat taming?!)
